Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme - Can Your Firm Benefit?

The Background

The Law Society has launched the Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme (WIQS), which provides a quality standard for wills, probate and estate administration practices.  It is designed for SRA-regulated firms that specialise in will writing, probate and estate administration work. Firms specialising in wills only, or probate/estate administration only, are not eligible to apply for scheme membership.

The scheme is intended to:
  • differentiate participating firms from non-solicitor will writers and other service providers
  • benefit member practices through the training programmes built around the scheme's associated Protocol
  • recognise participating firms for their expertise, experience and high levels of client service
